Submissions
Thank you for your interest in Compass Point Books! We are interested in hearing from talented writers, and we review submissions twice annually—in June and December. Nearly all of our books are written on a work-for-hire basis, and all are part of larger series. We very rarely accept unsolicited manuscripts. We prefer that potential authors submit a 500-word, unedited sample that is appropriate for our audience, along with a résumé, cover letter, and published samples. (Always keep a copy of your work. All samples will be recycled unless accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.)

If we feel that your writing sample and experience match the tone and style of Compass Point Books, we will contact you. We appreciate your consideration.

We do not accept electronic submissions or queries. Unless requested by editorial staff, such submissions will be deleted unread. Please, no phone calls.
